I'm going to a wedding of a couple in 40/50. They have a dress code for the application.
My plan is to be used:
Giorgio Armani Seersucker Pants
French Cuff Shirt Brooks Brother
Custom made alligator belt
Black or brown shoes Kenneth Cole
Custom made silver cufflinks
David Yurman jewelry and Lacsote

These people are more likely to the more common blue jacket, blue shirt and khaki appreciate it. If seersucker TAN / white combo and not blue and white, you can probably remove them.
I am married and NC do you think about the heat and humidity. The seersucker will save them, because they are so easy, but must be aware of your surroundings. I have a wedding with a lightweight wool between late April and it was too heavy.
